Intensive Program Courses

The courses integrate skills and use authentic material to improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Each student takes 15 hours of core courses and 5 hours of individualized or elective coursework.  Class work develops speaking and listening fluency, vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and intelligibility.  Each week, students will participate in an activity to enjoy the cultural resources in the area.

The small class size allows for flexibility and individualization to respond to student interests and particular needs. In addition to class work, students have access to a multimedia language laboratory and tutoring.
In Fall 2008 and Spring 2009, the program will concentrate on students at the intermediate and advanced levels.  Students receive a certificate of attendance and upon successful completion of each level, they receive a level completion certificate.   Usually it takes two terms to progress one level.
